ABOUT Botswana Export Development and Investment Authority (BEDIA)

Botswana Export Development and Investment Authority also known as BEDIA is an autonomous organization, led by the private sector. It was established in 1997 in the Gaborone city, Botswana. The CEO of the company is Mr. Jacob Nkate. The company is also assigned with the mission of categorizing market openings for locally manufactured products and to erect factory building for setting up of manufacturing enterprises. BEDIA also works closely with the Government of Botswana to make sure that the country has a stable and progressive investment climate. The aim behind the creation of BEDIA was to support, endorse and assist the establishment of export-oriented enterprises and selected services which will result in diversification of economy, rapid financial growth and creation of permanent employment opportunities. Every year they host and organize a famous B2B event named Global Expo.
