Sao Paulo is the
largest city of Southern Hemisphere and thus, the largest in Latin
America and Brazil as well.
It is one of the largest city in metropolitian areas in world.
Overview
Sao Paulo is the capital of the state of Sao Paulo in southeastern Brazil.
This Global City is the largest and most populous in Southern Hemisphere.
Once a little market town in the cool high plateau, the city now has
sprawled for the hills in all directions.
Considered the richest city in Southern Hemisphere, Sao Paulo is the
industrial and commercial powerhouse of Brazil. Further being the largest
metropolis in South America, the city offers a jovial nightlife and an
intense cultural experience. You can get stuck in traffic in the middle of
the night when party animals return from their hunt in this zappy party
town.
It is often said that Paulistas (Sao Paulo locals) live to eat. The food of
the city being best in the country is evident itself of this statement. The
leisure pursuits of Sao Paulo are limited mainly to culture as the city is
not that rich in natural attractions. Though ample of rich museums, cultural
parks, exhibitions and public buildings are much to the delight of visitors.
