Overview
Ottawa is the capital of Canada and is located in the Ottawa Valley in the eastern portion of the province of Ontario. Ottawa lies on the banks of the Ottawa River, a major waterway that forms the boundary between Ontario and Quebec. The city of Ottawa is the second largest Municipality of Canada. Ottawa is a perfect example of intermingling of world's cultures as thousands of immigrants from around the world stay in Ottawa. The city has become one of the fastest growing cities in North America due to the booming high-tech business sector. Service and tourism sectors are the other major contributors to Ottawa's economy.

Despite of its rapid modernization in the last few years, Ottawa has proudly remained a green city and is situated at the confluence of three rivers (Ottawa, Rideau and Gatineau) as well as the Rideau canal. Many residents make regular use of Ottawa's parks and green spaces, bikeways and cross country ski trails. The city is bestowed with many attractions and is visited by millions of tourists from all over the world. The city hosts several trade shows, cultural events, trade fairs and conventions throughout the year. Majority of people speak English but there are few French speaking minorities as well.
