Chemspec Middle East |

The next extension of the Chemspec brand will take place in one of the world's future growth markets for fine and speciality chemicals late next year, when the first Chemspec Middle East takes place in Hall 8 at the Dubai World Trade Centre on 29 - 30 November 2010. Dubai is setting itself up as the gateway of the world, with massive investment in its infrastructure, and we wanted Chemspec to be part of that from the outset, said Steve Diprose, Vice President of the Chemicals division at DMG World Media, organiser of the Chemspec shows world-wide and publisher of Speciality Chemicals Magazine. Whilst the Middle East is mainly known as a supplier of oil, gas, petrochemicals and plastics, the Gulf Chemicals & Petrochemicals Association (GPCA) has recently noted the emergence of a growing fine and speciality chemicals sector. This is also a region of growing wealth, with rapidly developing markets. Turkey, Egypt and Iran, for instance, are all home to big markets and regional players in industries ranging from coatings to pharmaceuticals. As with DMG World Media's highly successful Middle East Coating Show, Chemspec Middle East will serve growing markets from all over the region, plus the wider Indian and Chinese sectors. The exhibitors will be the same mix of blue chip fine and speciality chemical firms and SME service providers from across the world, as at other Chemspecs. The pleasant winter climate and the many attractions of Dubai as a venue will also be a big draw for visitors and exhibitors alike. |
