Transportation & Reach
Dalian is one of the few cities in China where there are not many bicycles,
because the area is full of slopes, and where there are few motorcycles,
because their sale is prohibited. Due to this the number of cars on Dalian
streets has increased dramatically in recent years, but traffic conditions
are still maintained well. The city has a comprehensive bus system and an
efficient light rail mass transit system, usually called Qinggui, which
connects Dalian Development Zone and Jinshitan with downtown Dalian. Dalian
has become more transport friendly in recent years due to the vast
technololgical advancement that it has made.
Dalian Airport:
Dalian International Airport ranks among the top four airports in
North-east China. The airport is however not just mammoth in size only and
covers an area of 284.46 hectors. Dalian International Airport serves
flights from all major international destinations. It has been rated among
the most busiest airports in China. Dalian International Airport is well
connected from the city through buses and taxis. The airport also has
airport bus service that serves the people from allover Dalian.
Local Transportation of Dalian:
Bus: Buses are one of the most easiest way to travel in Dalian. The
bus service is very frequent and the system runs without any hitch. The
service is so frequent that you would at most wait only 10-15 minutes to
board a bus. Despite the service being good enough, the buses get very
crowded during peak times. The buses do not have any air conditioning or
heating systems; so you may not experience a comfortable bus ride. The buses
cover Tiger Beach, Labor Park and all the major areas.
Other: Rail service too is available in Dalian for journeying across
urban and sub urban locations. Traveling by taxis is cheaper than any other
means of transport. The city's taxis are safe and comfortable means of
transport.

Dalian attracts millions of tourists and other visitors throughout the
year. Dalian has a well developed hotel accommodation system. The city
houses a variety of hotels. The hotels are well connected from various parts
of the city. The city has a number of five star hotels. Dalian also has
