Business Overview
Since the ancient time, Guangzhou has been a famous commercial port in China with an open trading history. The economic development of the city radiates and has made an astounding success since the reforms and opening-up. Besides the city recently has also gained the position of the workshop of world with more assembly lines, factories and mass production than anywhere else on the planet.

The major port of the Pearl River Delta, Guangzhou is one of the leading manufacturing and economic regions of Mainland China and therefore, also one of the most important centers of foreign commerce.

Besides being the center of politics, education, culture and communication in the southern China, Canton is one of the three biggest exhibition cities in China as well. With a dynamic commercial assembling ability and wide marketing prospects, the city is striding forward energetically as an ideal international exhibition city.

The Chinese Export Commodities Fair (also called "Canton Fair"), held twice in a year in the city since 1957, has remained almost the only way of contacting foreign businesses for China and is still a major event for the city and the country as well. On the other hand, the exhibition halls like Pazhou Complex, the old Liuhua Complex and Jinhan exhibition center with their superior geographic location, excellent facilities and professional service aims to provide superior service to promote trade and economics.

Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition center (GICEC):
Located at brand new international Exhibition City, the Pazhou Island, GICEC is the new secondary city center in southeast part of Guangzhou.

The center till now is spread over 160,000m2 exhibit space in 15 individual halls making it the largest exhibition center of Asia and second largest of this kind in the world.

The second phase construction will make the center surpass Hannover International Expo Center with 700,000m2 total area, which will turn it into the largest exhibition facilities in the world.

Jinhan Exhibition Center:
Located at the heart of traditional central axis of the city, Jinhan center is invested and managed by the Guangzhou Dong Tai Jun Cheng Industry Development Company and Guangzhou Jinhan Exhibition Company.

Apart from two exhibition halls of total 25,000m2 of exhibition space, the center possesses a multi-functional conference hall, business center, coffee shop, catering service for Chinese and western food, resting place and so on.

The venue has already hosted the China Export Commodities Trade Fair for Foreign Business Investment time after time successfully providing a significant platform to the domestic exhibitors with strong strength and the intellectual foreign buyers in the export trading activities.

Major Commercial Areas
Yuexiu District:
With a history of over 2000 years, Yuexiu District is considered the oldest urban area and the birthplace of Guangzhou. The “Commercial Capital of the Ancient City”, it has been full of thick cultural atmosphere, where there are developed commerce and trade and historic relics since the ancient times.

Today there are lots of projects and shops operated by businessmen from Hong Kong along its busiest Beijing Lu, Yide Lu and Liuhua Garment Markets. There are also about 400 foreign-invested enterprises at the District. Therefore, it is one of the commercial areas with the most complete varieties and categories in China, which has attracted lots of visitors and businessmen for tour and investment.


Major manufacturing Zones
Zengcheng Xintang Industrial Processing Zone:

Enjoying the name "Gold Corridor” Zengcheng Xintang is favorably positioned along the central axis of Guangzhou, Shenzhen & Hong Kong. Located in the east of Guangzhou close to Economic and Technologic Development Zone, the processing zone was set up under the approval of Guangzhou Municipal People's Government.

Xintang Industrial Processing Zone:
The Xintang Industrial Processing Zone is located right in the core area of Guangzhou's east auto industrial base that attaches importance to the development of foreign-oriented industries.

The zone has introduced many foreign enterprises engaged in textile, fabrics, machinery, electronics, plastics and chemicals. While with settling down of Honda, Toyota and Nissan, the city is gradually forming three auto industrial bases in its east, south and west around those three whole-car manufacturers.

Guangzhou Pearl Industrial Park:
Spread on the total planned area of about 44.8km2, Guangzhou Pearl Industrial Park is the largest industrial park of Conghua and one of Guangzhou's key construction projects which is divided into east, west and middle areas and motorcycle industrial base.

The industries in the area include biomedicine, chemicals, Electro-mechanic manufacture, chemical fiber and textile.
