Transportation & Reach
This city of Xian serves as an important link between the east and the west of China. The transport system of Xian is extremely well organized and managed in a very efficient manner. There are approximately 1000 buses which include trolley buses as well that ply in and around the city. There are medium sized buses as well which ply on the roads of Xian. The buses and trolley buses are available on 80 lines and the medium sized buses run on 20 bus lines.

Xian Airport:
Xi'an Xianyang International Airport is the major airport serving the city and is the largest airport in the northwest region of China. The airport is located to the northwest of the city, between Xi'an and Xianyang. Chang'an Airlines and China Eastern Airlines are the main airport tenants. The airport has direct flights from Xi'an to many major cities in Asia, including Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, Fukuoka, Kyoto, Hong Kong, Seoul, and Pusan. Germany's Fraport, the operator of Frankfurt Airport, has paid 490 million yuan to obtain a 24.5-percent stake in the Xianyang International Airport, offering opportunities to upgrade and expand the facility.

Local Transportation of Xian:
Bus: Buses are the cheapest way to travel. Buses are available in plenty and offer a good service to travelers.

Other: There are various types of taxicabs that are available in the city of Xian. For example, there are Alto Taxicabs, Xiali Taxicabs etc. amongst the different kinds or types of taxicabs that run on the roads of Xian. All these different kinds of cabs are fitted with taximeters and approximately 10,000 taxicabs ply on the roads of Xian. Apart from the taxicabs there are Limousines available as well for Airport pick and drop and in hotels as well.
