- Queen's
Baton Relay: The highlight of the Commonwealth Games 2010
Delhi is the Queens Baton Relay. It's one of the longest
relay in history and was initiated on 29th Oct, 2009 at
Buckingham Palace.
- Volunteer
Programme: The Volunteer Programme is one of a lifetime
opportunity to be a part of the Delhi United team of 2010
Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
- Green
Games: The organizers of Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi have
taken onto themselves to see to it, that there is minimization
of the damaging environmental aspect in the games. Having
pledged for the event to go completely green, the 2010
Commonwealth Games Delhi will be Green Games with the use of
offset techniques and carbon emission mitigation.
- The
Games Village: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA), a
delivery partner of Commonwealth Games and an organization of
the Government of Delhi; is planning and building a world-class
Games Village along the bank of Yamuna river. This Village will
showcase customary Indian culture and hospitality as never quite
seen before by the international participating teams.
- Cultural
Programme: The Cultural Programme will be another highlight
of the 19th Commonwealth Games 2010. One will witness a
spectacular display of Indian heritage, traditions and mythology
through its cultural events. It is slated to make a strong
imprint in the minds of the viewers with its brilliant
demonstration.
