MAEO Spring Conference

CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION

The 2012 MAEO Spring Conference is being held at Bay Valley Resort, Bay City, Michigan during April 25-27, 2012. This is an alternative education conference where participants will get an opportunity to share their alternative education experiences with fellow MAEO members. The Michigan Alternative Education Organization (MAEO) was formed in 1975 to provide to promote opportunities for alternative educators across the state. MAEO concept is 'Another choice, Another chance'. Alternative education refers to a study program within a K-12 public school that provides a choice or option in additional to the traditional curriculum. MAEO hosts an annual spring conference, as well as regional activities for students and alternative educators and offers scholarships for graduating alternative students pursuing higher education. At the conference participants will explore various alternatives for the students who are already enrolled for traditional curriculum.
