CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION
The National Certification for Activity Professionals is a certified body recognized by the Federal Law and it is taken into action for many state regulation acts. It is the only national organization of its kind that certifies activity professionals who work with the elderly. It offers two version of courses- Traditional Classroom Settings and Independent Study Version. The professionals who are certified under this Council receive the following benefits- enhanced professional recognition and development; receive the opportunity to collaborate with the health care associations for a long term at the national level; they receive a quarterly newsletter and they also get an inclusion in the national registry of Certified Activity Professionals. The Council is a credentialing body whish has set some standards an criteria for the professionals who meet the leisure needs of those in their care.
