CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION

Master Sheng Yen was one of the people selected for the commonwealth magazine in Taiwan over 400 years. His life was full of challenges, difficulties and critical points. Master Sheng Yen went to Japan for further studies to bring out the status of Buddhism.For academic research on Buddhism and the promotion of Buddhist education, Dharma Drum Mountain has been established by him to promote the academic research, Dharma practice and propagation, and social care efforts. It was the main center for Buddhist education. Today, there are many branches opened in countries like Australia, Europe, Asia and America, for the practice of Buddhist education worldwide. Hence, this conference will explore about the work and research in Buddhist education.
