CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION

ASEASUK or the Association of South-East Asian Studies in the United Kingdom is an association of scholars and institution who are into the development of Southeast Asian studies and research programmes. The aim of this association is to promote and facilitate the co-operation and co-ordination between the scholars and the institution whose main aim is to develop the Southeast Asian studies and research programmes. This association was established in the year 1969, and it has brought together many academics in UK who are specializing in Southeast Asia's wide range of discipline. The association comprises of an Executive Committee and a Research Committee and the members of the committees are nominated by the members of ASEASUK in the general meeting of its annual conference. Thus it is organizing the 27th ASEASUK conference for promoting Southeast Asian studies and research programmes.
