Viennese Workshop on Optimal Control, Dynamic Games and Nonlinear Dynamics

CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION

The aim of the workshop is to bring together researchers interested in applying nonlinear methods to problems in economics, operations research and management science. Topics of interest are optimal control theory and dynamic programming, dynamic games, heterogeneous agent models and learning, environmental economics, economic modeling, complex systems and related fields. The workshop is a cross disciplinary meeting for all scientists interested in theoretical and experimental aspects of the applied non-linear dynamics, covering the whole spectrum from semiconductors to information technologies. Emphasis will be given on the following underlying aspects, which are common to the most of the recent developments in this field: Non-linear Phenomena in Semiconductors and Semiconductor Devices; Non-linear Phenomena in Laser-Systems; Non-linear Dynamics based Communications; Patterning in Complex Media; Low-Dimensional Systems; Applied Chaos Theory; Biological Systems.
