 
Guidelines for Participation

- The layout and interior design of stalls will be done by
Exhibitors who book bare space in events organised by ITPO keeping
in view the public safety, free access to public, facilities &
conveniences, safety to ITPO property and convenience to fellow
exhibitors.
- The exhibitors and their designers must inspect the space
allotted and make note of salient features like location of columns,
fire safety equipment, main electricity distribution board,
arrangement for water supply/disposal, management for compressed air
supply, service doors, entry/exit doors and approach to toilets etc.
The stand layout must take into account all such features as per the
participant's requirement.
- The exhibitor will prepare the design of stands keeping in mind
the guidelines mentioned in succeeding paragraphs.
- Clear access to main electrical distribution boards, emergency
exits, stair cases, service; doors, public conveniences and fire
safety equipments must be ensured. Adequate working space must be
provided in front of main electrical distribution boards and fire:
safety equipments for easy operation
- In case of walk through stands, appropriately demarcated passages
shall be planned. Passages are to be kept free of any display
aids/exhibits and obstruction.
- The height of the stands shall not be more than 2.40 mtr. In case
the concept of the designer necessitate height beyond 2.40 mtr. at
some location, the same shall be specifically brought to the notice
of Chief Architect, ITPO for prior concurrence before execution.
- Stand construction should be independent of the walls, columns
and roof of the halls
- Light-weight hangings and buntings can be hung inside halls with
high ceiling and from the existing hanging arrangements. No hangings
however, will be allowed from electric conduits, cables, fixtures
and air-conditioning/ventilator grills. In case the exhibitor
intends to provide specific hanging arrangement, the same should
have the prior approval of the General Manager, Engineering Division
of ITPO.
- Fire safety implements are available in exhibition halls.
Additional requirement of fin safety equipments, for specific
exhibits on display in stand, if any, may be got assessed from a
competent fire personnel and provided.
- Use of fire hazard material like thatch, dry grass and other
similar inflammable material is not permitted. Only fire resistant
material should be used for construction and decoration of booths.
- No gas stove and other implements using live flame are permitted
for the purpose of any demonstration.
- 3 phase/ I phase power requirement for display/operation of
machines need to be forwarded to GM incharge of event at least 2
days before the start of the event.
- Sound level for playing music, making announcements and other
promotional means for attracting visitors, to ensure that no
nuisance/disturbance is caused to other exhibitors and visitors, the
sound level should not exceed 70 decibels.
- Only spot lights are to be used for stall lighting. Halogen and
flood lights are not to be used.
- All precautionary measures toward safety of workers inside Halls
will be the exhibitor's responsibility.
- Sound engineering practice would be followed for work of
electrical wiring for the main switches to the lights and other
fixtures.
- All electrical wiring work will be carried out only by the
licensed electrical contractors.
- Each stall should have an adequately rated switch fuse units MeB
or cut-out to enable isolation in case of any emergency/overloading.
- Electrical wiring under the carpets are potential fire risk.
Wherever these are unavoidable, adequate precaution shouid be taken
by covering these wiring by woollen ramps, Wiring with joints should
not be provided under the carpet.
- The electrical equipments installed must be earthed as per Indian
electricity rules 1956 amended up-to-date. Connection may be made to
the nearest ITPO main earth lead.
- Power factor improvement capacitor should be provided with the
connected equipment wherever motor of 5 hp or above are used.
- It is prohibited to draw electric power in excess of the
requirement projected to ITPO and released by ITPO for the purpose
as the same is illegal and will attract penalty.
- Re-sale or supply of electricity to third-party is not permitted.
- The organiser/exhibitor will be liable to restore or pay
restoration charges, if any, on account of damage to lTPO property.
- The organiser/exhibitor will submit the layout to Architect, ITPO
and to General Manager incharge of the event at least 20 days before
the start of the event, for record. Prior approval of the
layouVconstruction is however, required where -
(i) the height of the stall is necessitated beyond 2.4 metres; and
(ii) hangings/quntings are to be hung from ceiling. (please see
clause 6 and 8).
- The exhibitor will ensure removal of the packing boxes, unused
display aids, handling equipment and garbage from the bait before
opening of the exhibition failing which ITPO will arrange lifting of
such unauthorized material at the cost and risk of the exhibitor and
levy compensation charges which will be four times of the cost of
removal of material.
- The organiser/exhibitor must remove all abandoned material/trash
from the premises aftercJose of the fair. If the exhibitors leave
behind such items, it will result in exhibitor being billed for
removal and disposal of the saJTle.
- In case of violation of any guideiines specified above or
specified by any other law enforcing agency, ITPO reserves the right
to close the stand/stall/pavilion and/or levy a fine as decided by
the Committee of ITPO officers or any other law enforcing agency
and/or get the construction removed at the risk and cost of the
organiser/exhibitor.
- No claim of refund or compensation would be entertained in such
cases.
- The movement of the exhibition material on the roads inside
Exhibition Halls would be ensured in accordance with rules and
regulations specified by Security Division of . ITPO.
- No material will be allowed to be taken out of Pragati Maidan
without 'Gate: Pass' issued by ITPO authorities ..
