in an area spread in the sprawling Bombay Exhibition Centre of nearly

As you may well be aware, The Economic Times ACETECH 2008
that took place at NSC, Goregaon from the 6th to the 9th of
Nov 08 was one of the largest events in Asia which offered a wide
business networking for brands dealing in Architectural &
Decorative Products as well as other building materials. The show was
inaugurated by eminent personalities from the construction industry
who spoke extensively on the current market conditions & how it
has affected the construction industry. The Chief Guest for
the inaugural was the Honourable Minister of State for Urban
Development Shri. Rajesh Tope. The Guests of Honor included Niranjan
Hiranandani, Mofatraj Munot, Ashish Raheja, Surendra Hiranandani,
Nabeel Patel, Arch. Ravi Sarangan, Arch. Kamal Malik , Arch. Bobby
Mukherjee & Arch. Reza Kabul. Anuj Puri country head from Jones
Lang LaSalle Meghraj was also one of the guests of honor and was
mediator to the panel discussion. The panel spoke on how
sales would be affected for various building material suppliers and
what the current demand is for newer products. The demand for housing
was discussed along with the need for the financial institutions to be
more supportive of newer and upcoming projects.
At The Economic Times ACETECH, the focus has always been project
related sales for the brands that showcase at the show. A great deal
of attention is placed in providing exhibitors with a relevant mix of
prospective buyers and opinion leaders. Through past editions, the
