professionals across the country.SUPPORTING ORGANISATIONS Indian Water Works Association The
Indian Water Works Association (IWWA) is a voluntary body of
professionals concerned with water supply for municipal, industrial,
agricultural uses and treatment and disposal of wastewater. IWWA focuses
on the entire water cycle encompassing environmental, social,
institutional and financing issues. The association was founded in 1968
with headquarters at Mumbai with a membership of more than 5000
professionals spread all over the country and abroad. Indian Desalination Association India
Desalination Association (IDA) was formed in 1991 in Chennai with the
aim to develop and promote theIndian Desalination Association
appropriate use of desalination and desalination technologies nation
wide for water supply, water reuse, water pollution control, water
purification, water treatment, other water sciences and technologies and
various solute-solvent separations. Over the last one decade IDA has got
149 life members, 15 corporate members and has been organising at least
one seminar/conference every year on desalination, water reuse, water
treatment and waste disposal by membrane/thermal process.Indian Environmental Association The
Indian Environmental Association (IEA) was formed in 1996 for the
benefit of environmental professionals. It has about 800 engineers,
scientists, planners, state pollution control boards, operators,
non-government organizations etc. all over India as its members. IEA
enjoys the reputation of professional integrity and competence with the
Government of India and provides expert views on formulation of national
policies and standards pertaining to environment. Programs held by the
IEA include annual conference, topical mid-year conferences, seminars on
current environmental issues as well as training programs on air
pollution, CETPs, hazardous wastes, membrane technologies, CRZ issues,
etc. One of the major annual events is the 2day annual conference ENVIROVISION.
The association has successfully conducted eight conferences in major
cities like at Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, New Delhi, Ahmedabad,
Baroda, Goa, and Hyderabad. |
