Business Overview
The major contributor to economy of Hamburg is the Port of Hamburg, which ranks 2nd only to Rotterdam in Europe and 9th worldwide in terms of transshipments. The Hamburg Fairground (Messegelände)hosts a large number of trade fairs, events, exhibitions each calender year. The Fairground is the venue for about 25 trade fairs, shows and exhibitions a year, with a total attendance of one million people. The venue offers 64,200 square metres gross exhibition space in 12 halls, plus 5000 square metres of outdoor exhibition space. Some of the major trade shows hosted by the Hamburg Messe Fairgrounds are - SMM shipbuilding fair, the INTERNORGA catering fair, the "hanseboot" boat show and consumer fairs such as DU UND DEINE WELT and "Reisen Hamburg" (Travel Show).

Congress Centrum Hamburg:
The Congress Centrum Hamburg (CCH) is one of the largest and most modern conference centres in Europe. The Congress Centrum Hamburg is situated at walking distance from the Hamburg Messe Fairground.
