Business Overview
The major contributor to economy of Hamburg is the Port of Hamburg, which
ranks 2nd only to Rotterdam in Europe and 9th worldwide in terms of
transshipments. The city of Hamburg is regarded as one of the fastest

The Hamburg Fairground (Messegelände)hosts a large number of trade
fairs, events, exhibitions each calender year. The Fairground is the venue
for about 25 trade fairs, shows and exhibitions a year, with a total
attendance of one million people. The venue offers 64,200 square metres
gross exhibition space in 12 halls, plus 5000 square metres of outdoor
exhibition space. Some of the major trade shows hosted by the Hamburg Messe
Fairgrounds are - SMM shipbuilding fair, the INTERNORGA catering fair, the "hanseboot"
boat show and consumer fairs such as DU UND DEINE WELT and "Reisen
Hamburg" (Travel Show).
Congress Centrum Hamburg:
The Congress Centrum Hamburg (CCH) is one of the largest and most modern
conference centres in Europe. The Congress Centrum Hamburg is situated at
walking distance from the Hamburg Messe Fairground. The Congress Centrum
Hamburg among the top destinations for international conferences worldwide.
Around 200 conferences with some 150,000 participants take place here each
year, and on top of this there is a programme of cultural and social events

and outdoor grounds with 8,500m² of space. The venue is surrounded by
green parks from all side. Hamburg Exhibition Centre enjoys a central
location in the city centre and is just a few minutes walk from the
intercity railway station. The venue is also easily accessible from the city
airport and offers a variety of hotels nearby. Hamburg Exhibition Center is
