Hannover is world famous as the world's biggest Trade Fair city.

Business Overview
The Hannover City has practice of playing host since 1947, when the first “Export Fair” was opened amid the ruins of post-war Hannover. Soon this event developed into the Hannover Fair- the biggest exhibition of capital goods in the world.

Occupying the leading position in the international trade fair business, the City laps five of the ten biggest exhibitions of the world. The most important of them all being CeBIT, which is the biggest fair for communication, information and telecommunications in the world.

One of the reasons of Hannover being world famous trade show destination is its outstandingly well equipped infrastructure to handle major congresses, conventions and conferences. This highly efficient stager received ultimate laurels during the five month long World Exposition EXPO 2000, which attracted participants and visitors from all over the world.

The city is an important service center too. Today many big named international companies in service trade and industrial sector are based here, for example Europe's biggest tour operator TUI and also brands like Continental, Bahlsen and Varta to name a few.

Also known for its University, Hannover is international renown for medicine, veterinary, technology and science education. Not only this, having unlimited cultural life, unique attractions and range of opera houses, theatres, museums and galleries of international reputation, the city’s tourism industry is also very progressive.

The industrial sector of the city is mostly dependent on automobile and engineering goods. Though Trade fair industry remains the stud in the crown.

The Hannover Fairgrounds:
The biggest Exhibition grounds in the world; Hannover Fairgrounds are practically a little city itself. Operating under Deutsche Messe, the venue amalgams 496,000 m2 of indoor space (over 5.3 million sq. ft), 58,000 m2 (624,000 sq. ft) of open-air space and 27 halls & pavilions.

Apart from the distinct architecture and extensive Infrastructure facilities, it also boasts a number of other features like a Convention Center with 35 function rooms, grassy park-like areas, "chill-out" zones as well as banks and a pharmacy.

Major Commercial Hubs
Airport Business Park:

Kropcke:
Located at the center of the city of Hannover, the Kropcke can be easily reached with all metropolitan railway lines. Considered the hub of Hannover's life, this bustling center is home to Kropcke-Center, an office block almost 60m (200ft) high and a sunken Passerelle, a shopping street 750 m (820yd) long and 20 m (65ft) wide.

The shopping streets go off into all four directions from this square. Besides lapping many shops, Boutiques, bakers and Pizzerias, the place also has other objects of interest like market church, opera house and the old part of town.
