Overview
The capital of the state of Lower Saxony, Hannover is situated at the very edge of the North German Plain. The city has been recognized as ‘The City of Trade Fairs’ from years.

Hannover possesses some of the most famous and largest fairgrounds. Besides holding CeBIT- the biggest IT-Fair, the city also is the main center for most of the Germany’s commercial and industrial Expos like, The Hannover Fair and The World Fair Expo. Further the city was host to the first World Exposition that took place in Germany.

The city is also a major industrial town manufacturing cars among other products and due to this industrial city image, has also acquired the status of a major transport hub. It is also an important financial, commercial and cultural center even today.

Standing out to be a unique combination of vibrant public gardens, to-die-for shopping centers and world-class convention facilities, Hannover is particularly known for its beautiful buildings, wells, fountains and parks.

But apart from the EXPO, this lively city has a lot more to offer to its visitors. A modern city, yet rich in tradition, Hannover is also a university capital. With excellent shopping facilities and remarkable events of both national and international importance, the city’s rich and diverse nightlife is also worth mentioning.
