Hong Kong is one of the busiest cities of China. The city of Hong Kong has a very well developed infrastructure. The city is well connected by all major parts of the world. The transit system of Hong Kong is also very good and getting around in the city is very easy. The immigration rules in Hong Kong are different from that of mainland of China and a separate visa is required to visit Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Airports:
The Hong Kong International Airport also known as Chek Lap Kok has been named as the best airport worldwide by Skytrax. The airport has direct flights to all major destinations in the world. There are 40 flights per day connecting Hong Kong with Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Tokyo, Shanghai, Manila, Seoul, Bangkok and Beijing. Cathay Pacific and Dragonair are the major carriers in Hong Kong. The clean and efficient Airport express connects airport with other parts of the city. One can also opt for various buses to get to the Hong Kong city from the airport.

The Macau International Airport also serves the city and it can be reached by a ferry from the Hong Kong city. There are flights to destinations like Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Sydney from the Macau international airport.

Hong Kong Railway Transportation:
MTR Corporation operates trains from and to Guangdong Province, Beijing and Shanghai. The major train stations are the Hung Hom Station and the East Tsim Sha Tsui station. Train service between Hong Kong and Mainland China stops before midnight as the border, at Lo Wu, is closed at midnight.

Local Transportation of Hong Kong:
Buses: There are two kind of buses plying in Hong Kong - the double-decker and single-level buses. The buses connect almost every part of Hong Kong. There are also a large number of Red minibuses in Hong Kong.

Trains: The MTR operates a number of fast, clean and efficient underground trains.

Ferries: Ferries connect the city with Kowloon, the Outlying Islands, Macao and Mainland China.
