Overview
As the capital of Indonesia and a main gateway to rest of the country, Jakarta is truly a “meeting point” of representatives from through out the archipelago. The economic and political capital of Indonesia, Jakarta today is one of the most modern, frenetic and exciting cities in Asia.

It is not only the center of the country’s commercial, social and political life, but is also one of Indonesia’s most vibrant and interesting cities attracting many foreign as well as domestic immigrants. As a result, Jakarta has a grown into a city with cosmopolitan flavor and diverse culture.

Carrying a legacy of more than 30 years of largely uninterrupted economic expansion, the city is now home to many finest research institutions, educational facilities and cultural organizations of Indonesia and uniquely serves both as the seat of national as well as regional government.

Attracting mostly the business travelers due to its large-scale trade activities and events, the city is not a best place for tourists. But still Jakarta has got a little bit of everything- history, culture, recreational facilities and shopping. Studded with range of islands, lots of amusement parks, monuments and most exciting nightlife, Jakarta forces the visitors to end up spending at least a day or two.

With a large population and dramatic growth over the last few years, this capital city today is a wonderful mixture of beauty and chaos that you will either love or hate. Therefore, Jakarta is purely a wonderful city with beautiful & friendly people and with rice paddies, volcanoes, small villages and ocean beaches, which are incomparable in this world.
