Fabrications was established in 2000 in a disused shop in Broadway Market, East London by Barley Massey. Since then Fabrications has grown into a buzzing creative hub of activity. The owner is passionate about sharing her knowledge in a fun, innovative approach to the next generation through a range of hands on workshops, presentations and workshops.

TRAID-Textile Recycling For Aid And Internati
TRAID have been working for the last ten years reducing waste and fighting global poverty by recycling clothes. They work in a team with thousands of young people every year and have met the demand of teachers across the UK with successful lesson plans and resources related to the ethics of the Fashion Industry.

War On Want
War on Want is a movement of people who are committed to global justice and has been in operation for over sixty years. Millions benefit from the victories that they win in partnership with social movements, trade unions and workers orginzations. With TRAID as partner they will present case studies and practical activities within the Upcycling Academy at the Knitting and Stitching Show. This will look at specific problems in the Fashion and Textile industry with reference to the exploitation of textile workers from around the world.

Sissy Rooney-Street Style Surgery
Street Style Surgery is a social enterprise organization that works with socially disadvantaged children and provides them with the opportunity to express themselves through fashion design and clothing.

Craft Guerillas
Craft Guerillas is a collective set up that works with independent crafts people, artists and designer makers of quality hand made goods. The aim of the Craft Guerillas is to join forces with other creative individuals and set up craft events in vacant or unused venues. Craft Guerrilas attempt to create a community and share the value and ethos of creating hand made goods.
