Messe Duesseldorf GmbH, one of the biggest and most successful trade fair organiser in the world, formally announced the formation of its 100% Indian subsidiary, Messe Duesseldorf India Pvt. Ltd., in April 2007.

Mr. Udo Schuertzmann is the Managing Director of this subsidiary. The company has its head office in New Delhi, supported by a regional office in Mumbai.

Mr. Schuertzmann, a seasoned trade show expert with a wealth of international experience, has said in his interactions with the industry leaders, that, 'entering the Indian market presents us with a formidable challenge. In the years ahead, our aim would be to consolidate our own business and ramp up Messe Duesseldorf's agency activities on the subcontinent'.

The short-term goal is to secure and gradually expand the existing trade fairs be it, Tube India International, Metallurgy India, HOSPIMedica INDIA, International PackTech India and so on. There are also good opportunities for developing and establishing further trade themes in India, in key areas like Wire & Cable machinery, Rehabilitation Aids. These are the core areas where Messe Düsseldorf GmbH has been active in Düsseldorf and in the overseas markets, for many years. At the same time, it is the aim of Messe Duesseldorf GmbH, to create synergies by boosting the participation of Indian companies in the leading trade fairs of Düsseldorf.
