wire & Tube China 2006 draws wide attention of the industries

wire & Tube China 2006, to be staged in Shanghai from 25 to 28 Sep 2006, will attract nearly 700 exhibitors and 30,000 trade visitors from all over the world. Many famous enterprises home and abroad have booked large exhibition areas, expecting to show their latest technologies, equipment, and products during the twin events, a grand gathering of the global wire and tube industries soon to be launched.

The coming wire & Tube China is jointly held by Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute (SECRI), CCPIT Metallurgical Council, and Messe Düsseldorf China Ltd (MDC), with Messe Düsseldorf GmbH as a co-organizer. The synergic coordination between authoritative domestic trade associations and the renowned international exhibition organizers gives a strong boost to the professional and international nature of wire & Tube China 2006.

As of the end of June, nearly 700 enterprises from home and abroad have confirmed their attendance at the coming twin events, with a total exhibition area of more than 35,000 square meters, increased by over 8,000 square meters over the previous version. Leading Chinese cable equipment manufacturers such as Dongguan Huayan, Shanghai Kingstone, and Hefei Huaxin, and renowned international wire and cable equipment manufacturers such as Wafios AG, Niehoff GmbH, Rosendahl/Nextrom, TKT and Gauder will participate in wire China. Also present will be leading Chinese wire and cable material manufacturers such as Shenyang Tianrong, Shanghai Surrey, Padanaplast and other famous international players such as Dow Chemical and Borouge, all taking up large exhibition areas. Tube China on the other hand features mega-size booths registered by Baosteel (the biggest Chinese steel manufacturer), Tianjin Pipe (Group) Corporation (the biggest Chinese steel pipe manufacturer), SMS Group, Valourec & Mannesmann and Danieli, etc. With China´s biggest events in related industries coming soon, we expect to see an unprecedented spectacle at Shanghai New International Expo Center.

Good cooperation ushers in the beginning of resounding success. Enormous support from home and abroad ensures continuous good results at the events. Since the first successful wire & Tube China, many trade associations home and abroad, such as International Wire & Machinery Association (IWMA), International Wire and Cable Exhibitors Association (IWCEA) and its affiliated German Wire and Cable Machine Manufacturers Association (VDKM), Austrian Wire and Cable Machinery Manufacturers Association (VOEDKM/AWCMA), International Wire and Cable Exhibitors Association-France (IWCEA-France), Italian Wire Machinery Manufacturers Association (ACIMAF), Wire and Cable Industry Suppliers Association (WCISA), and International Tube Association (ITA) headquartered in UK, etc, have clearly indicated their continued support for the events to be held in Shanghai and declared their willingness to organize national pavilions from respective countries to participate in the events again. Present in full lineup at wire China will be national pavilions from Austria, France, Germany, Italy, North America, UK, and Korea organized by KMIC?Korea Metal International Cooperative?for the first time; while at tube China there will be national pavilions from Germany, Austria, UK, and North America. In domestic, numerous authoritative trade associations, including China Iron & Steel Association (CISA), China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA), China Electrical Equipment Industrial Association, Wire and Cable Branch of the China Electrical Equipment Industrial Association, Wire Rod Products Society of CSCS, Zhengzhou Research Institute of Steel Wire & Steel Wire Products under China Iron & Steel Industry & Trade Group Corporation, Shanghai Nonferrous Metals Association (SNTA), Shanghai Nonferrous Metals Society, Steel Tube Council of the China Steel Construction Society, China Rolling-Forming Steel Association, and The Stainless Steel Council of CSSEA, etc., will give their full support to the twin events in various aspects.

The great variety of forums, conferences, and technical seminars held in parallel with the trade fair will not only enhance the professional caliber of the events but also raise even greater interests among trade visitors. As of now, it has been confirmed that China Wire&Cable Industry Conference, an important event in the wire and cable industry, will be held in parallel with wire & Tube China. Thanks to active coordination and hard work by the organizers, Wire and Cable Branch of the China Electrical Equipment Industrial Association and SECRI, the Conference has raised great attention in the industry, which will surely bringing more high-quality trade visitors to the twin events.
