The Exhbition NATURAL STONE will be organized in conjunction with the Association of Istanbul Marble Merchants (IMD), Union of stanbul Mineral Exporters (IMIB), the Associazione Italiana Marmomacchine, Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade (DTM).

The number of professional visitors for 4th international Natural Stone was around 2166. The Exhbition had given the opportunity to check out the latest offerings of 70 firms from countries such as UAE, Iran, the Ukraine, China, Lebanon, Austria, Germany, India, Italy, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Russia participated in this fair.

Natural Stone Exhibition is inviting all the professionals from the industry to Istanbul- A great source of natural stones and marble. We are expecting around 600 domestic as well as international Market players in Natural stone industry. At the same time we are also expecting around 27,500 professionals to visit to the exhibition, which is spread over 80.000 sqm (8 Halls) exhibition area in November 2008.

This fair will set the stage for a number of middle- and long-term agreements for both Turkish and foreign sector authorities together.

Turkey, a country which dazzles with natural beauty, attracts much attention for the fact that it holds 33% of the world’s natural stone reserves.

Turkish natural stone representatives established constructive communications with foreign markets at the Natural Stone Fair, held between 06-09 September 2007.

Turkey’s total probable marble reserves are about 5.2 billion m3 –13.9 million tons and it is among the world’s most important natural stone manufacturers with its huge reserves and welldeveloped processing industry.

The exports of marble and other minerals are expected to reach $5 billion by 2010
