The constitutional capital and largest city of Netherlands, Amsterdam is located in the south of province North Holland. Founded in late 12th century as a small fishing village at the mouth of Amstel River, the city is built almost entirely along canals, connected to the waters of North Sea.

The enchanting city of Amsterdam is a dream come true for the art lovers. The center of the city is shaped like a horseshoe, surrounded by four famous canals called the Singel, Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht which are best to walk along if you want to see the city’s beautiful gabled houses.

Ultramodern and picturesque at the same time, this world famous tourist center is also a prime cultural and economic hub of Europe. It wear two faces, on one it smiles and beckons youth with its notorious Red Light District and liberal view of drugs use, while on the other it offers some of Europe's finest museums and art galleries. On one side its ancient charm attract lots of tourist, while on the other its trade events and activities lure much of business travelers each year.

For the tourist the joy of Amsterdam is its compactness i.e. it’s an excellent place to tour on foot or bicycle. This one of the coolest cities of Europe is beautiful, hip and laid back simultaneously, with lots to do, lots to see, many pubs, food from all over the world and friendly people.

Due to its charming age old architecture, a visit to this very beautiful city sometimes is like taking a walk in 17th century. Further, the cobbled streets, great shopping, pavement cafes and cozy bars offer rest and refreshment.
