ABOUT Agreeculture in the Classroom

Established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in the year 1981, the Agriculture in the Classroom, also abbreviated as AITC, is an immensely successful program initiated by the government of USA as a means to set up a network throughout the country that strives to enhance agricultural literacy. Carried out in each state, the main office of AITC is located in Washington, DC and it is operating under the leadership of its National Program Leader, Ray A. Al. This organization represents farm organizations, agribusiness, education and government and encourages the advancement of agri related education through awareness, knowledge sharing and appreciation. In keeping with the spirit of this association, it also organizes the hugely popular AITC National Conference on a regular basis.
