Based in Chile, the Antofagasta Industrial Association, also known as AIA, is one of the most prominent trade organizations of the mining industry in the country. Headquartered in Antofagasta, AIA was established on 4th October 1944 with an aim to induce a process of industrial development and growth as a means to upgrade the overall socio-economic conditions in the region. Having a huge member base and a clear insight of the industry, AIA has emerged as the leading representative body of the industry. AIA has Mr. Felipe Trevizan at the helm of the organization and it strongly believes in working in accordance with the interests of its members. In keeping with its missions, AIA conducts various programs and activities such as conferences, workshops, trade shows and seminars. Its flagship trade show, 'EXPONOR' is a well-known mining industry event in the country.
