ABOUT ASCAP

Headquartered at New York City, USA, ASCAP, or the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, is a unique entity. It is an exceptional organization that is not only administered but also owned by composers, music publishers and songwriters. This is a performance rights organization or PRO that is not for profit in nature. More than 420,000 members who are related to every aspects of music are part of this membership association. The aim of this organization is to defend the musical copyrights of its members by examining their musical performances, through broadcasts or live performances, and reimburse them appropriately. Mr. Paul Williams is the President and Chairman of the Board of this company. The ASCAP foundation is an endeavor of this organization. The I Create Music EXPO and the Annual ASCAP Awards are some of its major events.
