ABOUT Ataturk University

Ataturk University was founded in 1957 in Erzurum Turkey. Prof. Dr. Hikmet Kocak is the Rector of the University. The university consists of 17 faculties, 5 colleges, 15 vocational colleges, 6 institutes and 16 research centers with 33,544 students. Ataturk University is considered as the hub of education and culture in Turkey and it also has agreement of cooperation with the Universities of Nebraska and the Balkan Universities Networks. The vocational schools and the other departments of the university are its proud branches which has been successful in training its students towards achieving academic and professional excellence. The Winter Universiade Conference organized by the university was important as it enumerated the history of various cultures of the world. Apart from this the Energy conference organized by the Energy Club of the University was a major conference.
