ABOUT Airdrie Women in Small Business Association (AWSBA)

Airdrie Women in Small Business Association (AWSBA) is a not-for-profit group launched by women in small business in Airdrie and surrounding area who were looking for a connection with other like-minded women. Established in 2005 by Chris Von Bieker, owner of 'Raw' Nut Bars, the goal of the association is to provide an opportunity for women to support women in business. AWSBA hosted its first annual trade show, Winter Celebration, in Crossfield last November. The trade show was a resounding success with over 80 exhibitors in attendance. In addition, Winter Celebration featured visits with Santa, fashion shows, dance demonstrations, psychic readings, door prizes, and refreshments.
