ABOUT Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University

Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University was founded in 1992 based upon the Faculty of Education at the Anafartalar Campus. Its aims to be a modern university carrying out scholarly research and providing regional, national and international dimensions to training in all its educational programmes, while taking into account the resources of the area in which it is situated. The mission of University can be achieved by enlightened attitude and work ethic in its organisational structure bound to Ataturk Principles and Reforms and the modern ideals of the Turkish Republic and by Implementation of criteria following international norms of objective judgment that raise academic standards. The university has expanded rapidly over the last few years and currently has over 22,000 students participating in a wide variety of programmes .
