ABOUT Centro de Álgebra da Universidade de Lisboa

The Centre for Algebra, University of Lisbon , CAUL, was established as a research center from LM4 project of the Institute of High Culture and was approved by the National Institute for Scientific Research, started in 1980. In 1993 became a research unit of the University of Lisbon , and is funded under the Financing Agreement by the Foundation for Science and Technology, FCT . The main objectives of CAUL are -Development of research in various areas of Algebra and its Applications, stabilizing and strengthening the team in areas where it has international recognition and continues to guide new researchers to other areas of knowledge associated Algebraic, for example, Theoretical Computer Science, Computational Algebra, Logic Algebra and Algebraic Analysis and Post-graduate training through the guidance of Masters and PhDs as well as post-doctoral studies.
