ABOUT Smith Mountain Lake Chapter Antique & Classic Boat Society

Established in the eastern United States, in the year 1990, by one of the members Don Smith, Smith Mountain Lake Antique and Classic Boat Show which had started as an informal gathering of those who loved and possessed antique boats has now become one of the east coast's premier boating events. The main event each year for the boat society is the annual Smith Mountain Lake Antique and Classic Boat Festival and Show at Mariners Landing Resort and Conference Centre, which attracts beautiful and rare antique and classic boats. More than 16 such shows have been organised by this concern in the last 20 years. The mission is to promote the restoration and preservation of antique and classic boats, and to encourage their participation in antique and classic boating on the Lake.
