ABOUT College of Applied Sciences, Beijing University of Technology

The College of Applied Sciences of Beijing University of Technology (Beijing Tech) was set up in January 2000 based on the department of applied mathematics and the department of applied physics. The mission of the college is to promote not only the research of mathematics and physics but also many interdisciplines, and to enhance both the mathematical and physical basis of undergraduate students of Beijing Tech. The college has been devoted into the promotion of education. There are two undergraduate programs in the college: information and computational science, applied physics (majoring in optical communications and optoelectronic technologies). Both are accredited as brand programs of Beijing. The college also provides abundant graduate education programs, many of them have been keeping good reputations.
