Founded in 1992, the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) is the premier professional association for school district technology leaders. CoSN is committed to providing the leadership, community and advocacy tools essential for the success of these leaders. CoSN is unique blend of education and technology leaders, policy makers, and decision makers from the public and private sectors. It aims to empower K-12 school district technology leaders to use technology strategically to improve teaching and learning. CTO Leadership Forums are held twice a year (CoSN's and ISTE's Annual Conferences) and provide an opportunity for district-level technology directors to share information with their peers and keep up-to-date on best practices and solutions to the challenges they are facing in the education technology arena.
