For the first time in India, Electronics Today organized an International Conference on Smart Cards Technology and Applications, in Mumbai in 1997, followed by a similar International Conference in Bangalore in 1998. These culminated into a full fledged annual international event i.e. SmartCards Expo in 1999. Currently, Electronics Today organises the following annual exhibitions - Componex/electronicIndia , jointly with Messe Muenchen International, Munich, Germany, and SmartCards Expo.
