ABOUT Electronic Literature Organization

Electronic Literature Organization is an organization whose aim is to advance and endorse the teaching, writing, reading and the comprehension of literature in the altering digital surroundings. This organization that is not for profit in nature is also known as ELO, which is its abbreviation. Renowned novelist Robert Coover, internet business leader Jeff Ballowe and electronic author Scott Rettberg, instigated this organization in the year 1999 with the primary objective to explore the prospects that were being offered by electronic media to literature. Professor Nick Montfort is the President of this organization whose main office is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. The Electronic Literature Organization Conference is one of the many events that are organized by ELO to unite many writers, developers, teachers, scholars and artists in order to create a bigger audience for digital arts.
