Food and Agriculture Organization was founded in October of the year 1945 with the main objective of securing food supply for the global population. With its widespread presence in more than 130 countries, this organization is headquartered at Rome, Italy and represents 49 member countries from round the world. This organization aims to raise the levels of nutrition by increasing agricultural productivity for the purpose of upgrading the life of rural populace and to contribute to the global economy. Leading this organization is Mr. Luc Guyau, the Chairperson and the Director General, Dr Jacques Diouf.
