ABOUT Food Marketting Institute

Born out of a merger between the National Association of Food Chains and the Super Market Institute in the year 1977, the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) is an organization of food retailers and wholesalers comprising of more than 1,500 food retailers and wholesalers representing 200 companies from over 50 countries. The main office of this premier organization is located in Arlington, Virginia and it is currently running under the leadership of its Chairman, Mr. Richard N. Jurgens and the President and CEO, Ms. Leslie G. Sarasin. Wholly committed to the cause of assisting and promoting the food industry, FMI conducts various programs, seminars and events to further the interests of its members, their customers, supplier partners and other industry stakeholders. Future Connect and the Midwinter Executive are two of its very popular events. FMI boasts of gross annual sales of USD 680 billion.
