ABOUT Fur Council of Canada

Fur Council of Canada was established in the year 1964. It is a non profit organization encompassing all professionals related to fur trade and business in Canada. This Council includes as members all fur producers, designers and craftsmen, auction houses and retailers of fur. This organization also works for the interaction between the designers of fur apparels and the other professionals involved in this trade and sponsors competitions between professional designers and students in the fashion colleges. They also aim to promote the Canadian fur industry by marketing the fur products in various advertising campaigns and thus act as the information provider about fur to the general public. Running under the President Mrs. Paula Lishman this organization is the proud organizer of The North American Fur and Fashion Exposition in Montreal.
