ABOUT Division of Medicinal Chemistry of the German Chemical Society

Founded in the year 1949, Division of Medicinal Chemistry of the German Chemical Society, also abbreviated as GDCh in German, is renowned as the largest chemical society in continental Europe. This organization aims to support chemistry in education, research and implementation of the recent innovations as well to encourage the understanding of chemistry among the general public. The main office of this organization is located in Frankfurt and it is currently operating under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Wolfram Koch, its Executive Director. Member of this premier organization includes individuals related to the chemical and molecular sciences and assists them in their responsible and sustainable initiatives for the general welfare. GDCh Wissenschaftsforum Chemie and Internationales Jahr der Chemie are two of its major conferences in the pipeline.
