ABOUT Helmholtz Association

A scientific society comprising of 17 research centers pertaining to the technical and biological fields, the Helmholtz Association is a widely known entity in Germany. The main office of this premier association is located in the city of Berlin and it is presently functioning under the leadership of its President, Professor Dr. Jurgen Mlynek. Specializing in six core fields namely energy, earth and environment, health, key technologies, structure of matter, aeronautics, space and transport, this organization aims to gain a deeper knowledge in order to assist the scientific community to work for the preservation and betterment of human life. The International Conference on Systems Biology, the Systems Biology of Human Diseases and the Seminar of the Helmholtz Alliance on Systems Biology are some of the upcoming conferences to be organized from under the banner of this organization.
