ABOUT Hospital Dresden-Friedrichstadt

Hospital Dresden Friedrichstadt was founded in the year 1849 as a city hospital in Adel Palace, Dresden. At the time of the construction of the hospital the land was in possession of Count Heinrich Bruhl. This Municipal Hospital is one of the multispecialty hospitals of Germany with a history of its own. Hospital Dresden Friedrichstadt has over sixteen clinics, a library and as many laboratories for research projects as well. Prof. Dr. Thomas Demant is the Medical Director of the Hospital. Hospital Dresden Friedrichstadt is not only a treatment centre but also a research organization which organizes conferences and seminars on various medicals topics in its premise. Cardiology working group Friedrichstadt, Dresdner Vessel Meeting, ESCHM and Dresden Palace Talks are some of its upcoming Conferences.
