ABOUT IEEE Broadcast Technology Society

IEEE Broadcast Technology Society, also known as BTS, is one of the major technical societies and councils of IEEE, or the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Established in the year 1912, this society currently boasts of more than 2,000 members and chapters across the world. The head office of this premier society is located in New Jersey, USA and it is currently being led by its President Mr. William Meintel. Running with the aim of dealing with all the aspects of production and distribution of wired and wireless transmission and broadcast technology, this society supports the publication of technical periodicals, as well the arrangement of technical meetings. Also well known for organizing highly focused and comprehensive conferences for the industry, BTS is yet to hold its annual IEEE Broadcast Symposium and the IEEE International Symposium on Broadband Multimedia Systems and Broadcasting very soon.
