ABOUT IEEE India Council

IEEE India Council is one of the five councils in the Asia Pacific Region of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers or IEEE. This is an umbrella organization that manages the activities of IEEE in the entire India. The aim of this council is to aid and organize the actions of all the local sections of IEEE, which is one of the largest professional organizations of the world. This organization is intended to bring forth mutual development, keep away from duplication of endeavors and resources. In the year 1976 this organization was founded. This council has 10 sections all over the nation like the Bangalore Section, the Bombay Section, the Calcutta Section and the Delhi Section. This organization is administrated by an Executive Committee. Dr. Ram Gopal Gupta is the Chair of this association. Indicon is the flagship annual conference of this council.
