Being launched in the year 2011 by the IEEE, or the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the IEEE Smart Grid is a monthly online newsletter that places its focus singularly on the smart grid industry worldwide. Headquartered in New Jersey, USA, this publication effectively tracks the recent developments and innovations in the global smart grid sector and shares the technical information with the IEEE members to enhance their expertise and disseminate best practices from the experts and top executives functioning in this field. IEEE Smart Grid is currently being led by its Chairperson, Wanda K. Reder and this organization has many high end conferences in its kitty, namely the Smart Grid World Forum and Smart Grid Technologies Conference to name a few.
