ABOUT IGU Commission on Geographical Education

IGU Commission on Geographical Education is dedicated to the geographical and environmental education. To achieve this goal, IGU commission includes some activities like publishing, organizing seminars, workshops, training programs, and sponsorship focused on promoting the geographical and environmental education worldwide. This commission fosters the geographical education across the schools to promote the field and set the standards worldwide. IGU Commission on Geographical Education helps in building network of scholars across the world to promote the geographical education. The major international pre-congress meeting of the Commission on Geographical Education and the main congress is going to be held in Germany in 2012. Each year, it offers a platform for the researchers and educators to discuss on geographical education and to interact with peers in the field.
