ABOUT Illinois Association Of Teachers Of English

At all levels throughout the state of Illinois, Illinois Association of Teachers of English serves English and Language Arts teachers through a variety of activities and publications. Its aim is to provide an opportunity to discuss different types of problems related to education and to conduct workshops, seminars, conferences etc. on teacher education and related areas. The members of IATE who hold new technologies in their classrooms take part in standing committees that is helpful in promoting the interests of IATE and its members. In order to achieve the best goals, IATE always work under the sponsorship of an Illinois institution of higher learning. The office of association is comprised of President, the First Vice President, the Second Vice President, the Secretary, and the Treasurer.
