ABOUT Instituto de Biotecnologia de las Plantas

Instituto de Biotecnologia de las Plantas is one of the most revered centers of knowledge in the entire Latin America and beyond. This organization is also known as IBP, which is its abbreviation. The main office of IBP is located in Villa Clara, Cuba. Dr. Daniel Agramonte Penalver is the Director General of this organization. This organization is seconded to the Central University Marta Abreu de Las Villas. In the year 1992, this organization was incepted. The aim of this association is to bring innovation in the sphere of biotech plant breeding as well as seed production of high genetic quality and all the related researches. International Symposium of Plant Biotechnology is one of the many events that are organized by IBP.
